Full Gospel Kingdom Church is a progressive church. A church that's home away from home. Kingdom Church is a church that keeps it real with real solutions for real people. Here we preach, teach and promote the Gospel of Jesus Christ and the biblical principles that God designed for those in His Kingdom to live by. These teaching enable individuals and families to be more effective in the world today.

God speaks in diverse ways through our worship team and when Bishop Hawkins brings you a fresh perspective on Jesus’ love and grace each Sunday morning and Tuesday night. Music ranges from gospel to contemporary and the teaching is practical and biblical, ready to prompt you for transformation.

It’s normal for us to raise our hands in total surrender to God as we feel His Holy Spirit at work during worship. We strive to create lifelong followers of Christ, so please know that your kids are welcome to worship with us in the main sanctuary, although we also offer Nursery (infant through 3 year olds) and Children’s Church (4 years old through 5th grade). The decision is up to you.

Together we are a community of believers. What does that mean, the word community? We believe that together in fellowship we grow closer to God and one another. The Bible speaks about iron sharpening iron. We believe that together we grow stronger . We are a community of believers.

Bishop Felton Hawkins is the founder and pastor of Full Gospel Kingdom Church, a church that continues to make a clearly identifiable significance in the community in which it serves. With over 32 years of ministry and leadership experience, he has been integrally involved in all aspects of church and leadership development. Bishop Hawkins has also authored four books, “Developing Christians for Leadership”, “Building a Great House – Overcoming Life’s Ordinary to Possess God’s Extraordinary”, “Man of the House – Woman of the House: Get Ready to Take Dominion” (a flip it book) and "Increase! Self-Value, Personal Equity, Leadership IQ" .

Bishop Hawkins is recognized for his tenacious commitment not only to the proclamation of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, but for his dedication to inspiring and developing God’s leaders to accomplish their purpose and plans. He is the presiding prelate of the Full Gospel Kingdom Churches Association, building and assisting leaders and pastors in their effort to carry out their visions. He travels both nationally and internationally conducting workshops and training sessions to include Leadership Development, Organizational Vision, and Organizational Change.

Lady Jasonta Hawkins is a native of Long Island, New York. After her relationship with Christ, her greatest joy is her relationship with Bishop Hawkins and her family. She and Bishop Hawkins share in loving five sons and one daughter, Rafael, Maurice, Destinee’, Deston, Gerard, and Tyler.

As First Lady of Full Gospel Kingdom Church, she serves alongside her husband leading the people in the vision that the Lord has given to Bishop Hawkins. She is Bishop Hawkins’ greatest supporter and a faithful servant to her set Man of God. Lady Jasonta has a true love for ministering to God’s people and building the Kingdom of God. She is a woman of faith with a true desire to be an ambassador for Christ while helping and building women along the way.

“To be builders of the old waste, raise up the former desolations and repair the waste cities, the desolations of many generations.” (Isaiah 61:4).

 To effect, influence, and change our community, nation, and the world by introducing them to Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord.

 To bring those who accept Jesus Christ into a place of spiritual growth and commitment to the Lordship of Jesus Christ.

 To mature those who have committed themselves to discipleship so that they can minister effectively to both the unsaved and those that

desire to grow.

 To develop a ministry that will meet the needs of every aspect of the family and the community spiritually, physically and economically.

 To produce a ministry of excellence and quality that will glorify Christ and represent the Kingdom of God.

 To bring people together from every walk of life socially, economically and racially.

We Believe in THE SCRIPTURES – that the Bible is the inspired Word of God, the product of holy men of old who spoke and wrote as they were moved by the Holy Spirit; the New Covenant, as recorded in the New Testament. We accept as our infallible guide in matters pertaining to conduct and doctrine. The scriptures (according to 2 Timothy 3:16; 1 Thes. 2:13; 2 Peter 1:21).
We Believe in THE GODHEAD that our God is one, but manifested in three persons, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, being coequal God the Father is greater than all; the Sender of the Word (Logos) and the Begetter. The Son is the Word flesh-covered, the One Begotten, and has existed with the Father from the beginning The Holy Spirit proceeds forth from both the Father and the Son and is eternal. (Deut. 6:4; Phil. 2:6). (John 1:1; John 1:18; John 1:14, John 14:16; John 15:26). (John 14:28; John 16:28; John 1:14)
We Believe in MAN’S FALL AND REDEMPTION that Man is a created being, made in the likeness and image of God, but through Adam’s transgression and fall, sin came into the world. The Bible says “all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God,” and ” There is none righteous, no, not one.” Jesus Christ, the Son of God was manifested to undo the works of the devil and gave His life and shed His blood to redeem and restore man back to God. Salvation is the gift of God to man, separate from works and the Law, and is made operative by grace through faith in Jesus Christ, producing works acceptable to God. (Rom. 3:10; 3:23; Rom. 5:14; 1 John 3:8) (Eph, 2:8-10)
We Believe in the RESURRECTION OF THE JUST AND THE RETURN OF OUR LORD that the angels said to Jesus disciples, “This same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.” His coming is eminent. When He comes, “The dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air” Following the Tribulation, He shall return to earth as King of kings, and Lord of lords, and together with His saints, who shall be kings and priests, He shall reign a thousand years. (Acts 1:11; 1 Thess. 4:16, 17). (Rev. 5:10; 20:6).
We Believe in the ETERNAL LIFE AND THE NEW BIRTH that Man’s first step toward salvation is godly sorrow that worketh repentance. The New Birth is necessary to all men, and when experienced, produces eternal life. (2 Cor. 7:10; John 3:3-5; 1 John 5:12).
We Believe in WATER BAPTISM that Baptism in water by immersion, is a direct commandment of our Lord, and is for believers only. The ordinance is a symbol of the Christians identification with Christ in His death, burial and resurrection, to wit: “On the confession of your faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God, and by His authority, I baptize you in the Name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Ghost. Amen.” (Matt. 28:19; Rom. 6:4; Col. 2:12; Acts 8:36-39).

Bishop Felton Hawkins founded the Full Gospel Kingdom Church (formerly Full Gospel Church of Deliverance) over 32 years ago with a vision to preach and teach the principles of the Kingdom of God to convert typical “church-goers” and believers into leaders and soul-winners in the Kingdom of God. The church grown to a membership of over 800. The members consist of people from a wide diversity of cultures, ethnicities, and backgrounds.

Bishop Hawkins has faithfully led Full Gospel in becoming a leading church in Hampton Roads (Newport News, Hampton, Williamsburg, Norfolk, Chesapeake, Portsmouth, Virginia Beach). Operating under the life-long theme of “Excellence in All We Do,” the church is known for its administration, organization, and effective representation of the Kingdom of God. Full Gospel has been a source of support, strength, and guidance for many in Hampton Roads.

Full Gospel is committed to “building the old wastes raising up former desolations, repairing the waste cities, the desolations of many generations” (Isaiah 61:4–paraphrased). By fulfilling this vision, we will testify that Jesus Christ is the way, the truth, and the life.
